Yelena K is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.

I help busy and driven individuals to restore the balance within themselves and relationship with loved ones so you can become a new “upgraded” version of yourself.

Whether you are experiencing increased anxiety or fear of failure or judgement from others. I am here to help you improve your quality of thoughts that impacts your actions to bring quality results.

What can you expect when working with me

I believe in positive, safe, open and collaborative relationship between clients and myself to ensure progress and results you are looking for. We will discuss Where you are at in the present moment and then Where would you want to be. We will set goals and expectations to ensure clarity. However, if you are not clear of where you want to be yet no pressure! I will be helping you as a guide to find answers and clarity.

Based you your individual needs, abilities and strengths i would incorporate modalities and therapeutic approaches that best serve you at that moment. 

I draw from the variety of approaches however most of them are:

  • Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Client Centered Therapy
  • Strength Based Therapy,

  • EMDR

Imagine you are driving a car on a highway, you are in the driver’s seat, NOT passenger. You check rear view mirror (represents the past) when needed, however you are looking forward on a road (represents future).

Despite that you are in the present which is the most important part. You are in control of your car with the help of rear view and side mirrors and controlling the speed. This is my way to shortly describe my approach and vision through metaphoric example and I use many of them in my sessions.

I will empower and help you to leave your past in the past and use it to your advantage. We will focus on living in the present with the lessons from the past and clarity who are you become in the future!

Together we will identify your emotional needs and set goals and priorities.

We will focus on your strengths, identify areas of growth, so you can improve to the best of your abilities.

My open minded and direct approach will empower you to become a better version of yourself.

During the course of the sessions you will learn how to break up with your old stories had been holding you back.
You will become a new and a healthy version of yourself. You will learn how to regulate your emotions in a healthy way and being empowered by your uniqueness and self-love.
